The nomination process is important for the Academy and the TMAs. This is
how
the nominating committee insures that no deserving and eligible Texas talent is
overlooked. The musicians of Texas
count on you taking this process seriously and conforming to the rules of the
process. You should do some research prior
to nominating as only members of the Academy of Texas Music, Inc. are eligible.

IF YOU NOMINATE AN ARTIST THAT IS NOT ELIGIBLE, YOUR NOMINATION WILL
NOT COUNT
If you don't see your favorite artist
on the eligibility list, urge them to submit their material next year. Just like in the Grammys® process,
if you don't submit your music, you can't get an award.
The 2012 Nominations will open on
January 1st, 2012 and will continue until
midnight (Central) on Thursday, January
12th, 2012.
