How to receive an award

It is important to remember that ONLY
members of the Academy of Texas Music, Inc.
are eligible for the Texas Music Awards
TM.

This is not a comparison of the TMA awards
to the Grammy® awards.  It is only information
that shows the similarities between the two processes.

Some musicians have asked why they have to be a member of the
Academy or pay fees to receive a nomination.  This is simply how
the process works.  Membership is required for either process and
fees must be paid regardless of which award you are trying to receive.
