How to receive an award It is important to remember that ONLY members of the Academy of Texas Music, Inc. are eligible for the Texas Music AwardsTM. This is not a comparison of the TMA awards to the Grammy® awards. It is only information that shows the similarities between the two processes. Some musicians have asked why they have to be a member of the Academy or pay fees to receive a nomination. This is simply how the process works. Membership is required for either process and fees must be paid regardless of which award you are trying to receive. |
